Worship

Unstoppable God

Verse 1
Heaven thundered
And the world was born
Life begins and ends
In the dust You formed
Faith commanded
And the mountains moved
Fear is losing ground
To our hope in You

Chorus
Unstoppable God
Let Your glory go on and on
Impossible things
In Your name they shall be done (oh)

Verse 2
Freedom conquered
All our chains undone
Sin defeated
Jesus has overcome
Mercy triumphed
When the third day dawned
Darkness was denied
When the stone was gone

Bridge
Nothing shall be impossible
Your kingdom reigns unstoppable
We’ll shout Your praise forevermore
Jesus our God unstoppable

Chain Breaker

Verse 1
If you’ve been walking the same old road
For miles and miles
If you’ve been hearing the same old voice
Tell the same old lies
If you’re trying to fill the same old holes inside
There’s a better life
There’s a better life

Chorus
If you’ve got pain He’s a pain taker
If you feel lost He’s a way maker
If you need freedom or saving
He’s a prison shaking Savior
If you got chains He’s a chain breaker

Verse 2
We’ve all searched for the light of day
In the dead of night
We’ve all found ourselves worn out
From the same old fight
We’ve all run to things we know just ain’t right
When there’s a better life
There’s a better life

Bridge
If you believe it
If you receive it
If you can feel it
Somebody testify

He’s a prison shaking Savior
If you got chains well He’s a chain breaker

Sermon Notes

Workers in the Vineyard

Matt. 19:27-30: 27 Peter answered him, “We have left everything to follow you! What then will there be for us?” 28 Jesus said to them, “Truly I tell you, at the renewal of all things, when the Son of Man sits on his glorious throne, you who have followed me will also sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.  29 And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or fields for my sake will receive a hundred times as much and will inherit eternal life. 30 But many who are first will be last, and many who are last will be first.

We are promised persecution.

Matt. 24:9: “Then you will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death, and you will be hated by all nations because of me. The next promise if we put Jesus first, is the multiplication of what we give up, to follow God.

We are promised the multiplication of what we give up.

We are promised eternal life.

Rom. 8:18: 18 I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us.

Matt. 20:1-7: “For the kingdom of heaven is like a landowner who went out early in the morning to hire workers for his vineyard. He agreed to pay them a denarius for the day and sent them into his vineyard. “About nine in the morning he went out and saw others standing in the marketplace doing nothing. He told them, ‘You also go and work in my vineyard, and I will pay you whatever is right.’ So they went. “He went out again about noon and about three in the afternoon and did the same thing. About five in the afternoon he went out and found still others standing around. He asked them, ‘Why have you been standing here all day long doing nothing?’ “‘Because no one has hired us,’ they answered. “He said to them, ‘You also go and work in my vineyard.’

Is 5:7: The vineyard of the Lord Almighty is the nation of Israel, and the people of Judah are the vines he delighted in. And he looked for justice, but saw bloodshed; for righteousness, but heard cries of distress.

Matt. 20:8-16: “When evening came, the owner of the vineyard said to his foreman, ‘Call the workers and pay them their wages, beginning with the last ones hired and going on to the first.’ “The workers who were hired about five in the afternoon came and each received a denarius. 10 So when those came who were hired first, they expected to receive more. But each one of them also received a denarius. 11 When they received it, they began to grumble against the landowner. 12 ‘These who were hired last worked only one hour,’ they said, ‘and you have made them equal to us who have borne the burden of the work and the heat of the day.’ 13 “But he answered one of them, ‘I am not being unfair to you, friend. Didn’t you agree to work for a denarius? 14 Take your pay and go. I want to give the one who was hired last the same as I gave you. 15 Don’t I have the right to do what I want with my own money? Or are you envious because I am generous?’ 16 “So the last will be first, and the first will be last.”

God is the landowner and He is coming to get us.

We will get a great reward.

Thankfully for us, grace is totally unfair.

Titus 2:11: 11 For the grace of God has appeared that offers salvation to all people.

The first will be last and the last will be first.

Matt. 16:24-25: Then Jesus said to his disciples, “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me. 25 For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will find it.

This life is not about us, it is about serving God.
