Kyle Letter
A Letter From Kyle Arnold
Dear SHCC
Krista and I were elated to hear the news of your overwhelming support to welcome us into your church family. I am honored to serve you by stepping into the role of Teaching Pastor, and I look forward to getting to know you more intimately in the coming months.
At present, Krista and I have sold our home in Illinois and are in the process of purchasing a home in Lebanon. If there aren’t any hiccups (and aren’t there always), it is our hope that I will relocate to Lebanon the weekend of July 10th. Krista will be staying behind a few extra weeks to finalize some of her work responsibilities here in Illinois, but hopes to join me in early August.
In the meantime, I am blessed both by our eldership and our interim preachers in that I have the opportunity to work from home for a few weeks prior to relocation, and prior to officially diving into God’s word together for the first time on Sunday morning, July 31st. I won’t be in office yet for a few weeks, but in the meantime you are all welcome to reach out to me for any reason via my email, Kyle@shcclebanon.com.
As the local body of Christ, God has called all of us into a unique relationship with one another. He has set us apart, for a purpose. As we walk together in that purpose, there will be times of trial and seasons of suffering, because the enemy isn’t a fan of the light; and the more of Jesus that is ushered into our community, the harder the enemy pushes back. But there will also be reasons to rejoice and great victories to celebrate; the type of rejoicing and celebration that leaves no doubt it was all worth it. And as we both suffer, and rejoice together, it will be through our steadfast commitment to the Word of God and to one another that will allow Christ to be truly known by those around us. That’s something we can all look forward to.
Finally, as I sit here reflecting on this process, and the many answered prayers for both my family and yours, I can say with confidence, that after spending time with many of you, there isn’t anyone else I’d want to go on this journey with. I am thankful that you have chosen us to walk with you, and I am thankful that God has allowed us to choose to walk with you too. We are eager with the anticipation of coming home to all of you.
Serving Him Beside You,
